The Village Green Application will inevitably involve some potentially large legal fees. We are organising community Fund Raising Events, and you can find out how to donate to the Village Green Appeal by clicking here…

I have making/art/photoshop skills that might be helpful with banners/placards. Can distribute leaflets in Stretford area.
Hi Lucy, distribution in the Stretford area would be fantastic help. We’re getting the leaflets and cards printed this week, so we’ll be in touch.
I can help out with leaflet distribution around Whalley Range.
Excellent. I’ll be in touch…

Well done for organising the meeting tonight.
Its great to know there is huge opposition to the development for playing fields at Hardy lane.
The area should all be protected for future generations to enjoy.
It is a community resource as it is now with people of all ages enjoying the peace, tranquility and beauty of the area. It is a place for walking, riding your bike, flying your kite, having a picnic with your family and young children to enjoy and learn about wildlife and their environment.
SAVE THE MEADOWS!
I think it is totally unacceptable and will do what ever is required to STOP this !!!
I am without a doubt against this development.
There are plenty of football facilities within the chorlton area.
Hardy lane also has a football facility. This is more than adequate along with chorlton high school’s astro turfed floodlit football ground that is available for public use.
Other massive areas that already exist for playing football on are turn moss football fields and green along with the other neibouring fields adjacent to it .
In fact Chorlton and didsbury football club is already surrounded by existing football pitches some floodlit and some surrounded by idylic chorlton ease heaven.Plenty of choice already!
Whats the need to hack into another meadow that is wideley used by the chorlton community to get away from the noise and stresses of a city suburb.
The bottom of Hardy Lane, Burleigh mews and Hurtsville Rd is a pleasure to live in it retains some peace and tranquility along with the unspoilt entry to the meadows and Ease.We enjoy having no conjestion which would only be ruined if this development went ahead with people parking at the bottom of Hardy Lane. Noise and light pollution would ruin it for Meadow Bank residents!
I say NO to this development!!!
I would like to register my objections to this development which will completely change the character of the area.
I moved here (Cundiff Road) 15 years ago and chose my house solely on the basis of its proximity to the meadows, and the peace and tranquility of the area.
There is no doubt that this oasis of quiet and of diverse bird and wild life would be destroyed by an astro-turfed, fenced off, floodlit football ground. Parking would obviously overflow to the surrounding streets, and the traffic would certainly increase.
The darkness we enjoy at night would be ruined by floodlights, and no doubt, the noise of cheering crowds would carry all around the area.
I am delighted with where I live at the moment, and feel very strongly opposed to this plan.
Must we lose all our green and pleasant land in the interests of a few football fans?
There are a million other activities enjoyed on this site just as it is.
Please save Chorlton Meadows for those who appreciate, and love it.
